About Chinese Baby Predictor

We built the most beautiful, most honest home for the world's favorite pregnancy ritual — with real lunar mathematics underneath every playfully wrong guess.

Why we exist

Most Chinese gender predictor sites fall into two camps: photo-of-a-chart galleries with zero interactivity, or calculators with hidden, sloppy date conversion. We wanted neither. Chinese Baby Predictor pairs a database-accurate lunisolar engine (full 1900–2100 tables — exact New Year anchors, month sizes and leap months) with an interface designed to make the guessing genuinely fun: animated reveals, a tappable chart, planning windows in real Gregorian dates, and more folklore tools than anyone else packs onto one site.

What makes our conversion different

Two mothers with the same birth date can deserve different lunar ages if one was born before Chinese New Year. Most online predictors never check. Our dataset is the full Hong Kong Observatory-derived table mirrored by the serious calendar libraries — and we show you the exact lunar age, lunar month and leap-month flag behind every result, so you can verify rather than trust.

Our editorial honesty

The chart is a beloved tradition, not medicine. Tested, it performs exactly like a coin flip — and we published the science on our own homepage anyway, because you deserve the truth along with the confetti. For real answers, NIPT (~10 weeks) and the anatomy ultrasound (18–20 weeks) can't be beaten.

Contact & feedback

Found a date that slips out of our converter's hands, a translation that reads oddly, or an idea for a tool? We'd love to hear from you — get in touch.

Editorial & data policies

Predictions are computed client-side in your browser. We don't store your dates, don't use them for marketing, and publish our full practices in the privacy policy. Our medical disclaimer appears on every tool because tradition without disclaimers becomes bad advice.
