The crucial thing to understand: there is exactly one authentic chart, and it never changes from year to year. A “2026 edition” is the same grid — what is new in 2026 is the mapping:

How to use it for a 2026 pregnancy
- Convert the mother’s birth date to lunar. A mom born March 4, 1995 has lunar birth year 1995; one born January 10, 1995 (before the Feb 10, 1995 new year) actually counts as lunar 1994 — which changes her lunar age.
- Convert the conception date to the lunar month. For early March 2026, the lunar year is 2025 until Feb 17, 2026; from Feb 17 it’s lunar year 2026 (the Fire Horse).

How accurate is the 2026 chart?
Circumstantially identical to every other year: about 50%, the same as chance. A University of Michigan analysis found no better-than-random alignment, and the oft-cited “93% accurate” number has no scientific source. Fun? Absolutely. A pregnancy test? No.
Common 2026 mistakes
- Reading the chart with Gregorian dates. January 2026 conceptions belong to lunar year 2025 and often lunar month 11 or 12 — not lunar month 1.
