The 2025 Leap Lunar Month: Why Summer 2025 Dates Confuse Predictors

Chinese Baby Predictor Team

Lunar years with 13 months occur roughly seven times every 19 years, and the lunar year that began January 29, 2025 is one of them: it carries a leap (intercalary) 6th month, extending it to about 384 days and pushing Chinese New Year 2026 way out to February 17.

Why this matters for 2025 conceptions

If you conceived between roughly July 25 and August 22, 2025, your conception date fell in that leap 6th month. The traditional chart has no leap column, so:

  • Our approach: map leap-month conceptions to the base month (month 6), show a note on the result, and if your date is near a leap boundary, both candidate months are shown.
  • Many competitor predictors simply pretend the leap month doesn’t exist and produce off-by-one results all month.

How to check yours

  1. Run the lunar age calculator — it prints your full lunar date including the leap flag.
  2. Suspicious of a boundary? Try both the leap candidate and its base month on the interactive chart — if they agree, boundary anxiety resolved; if not, use ours’ documented convention.

The takeaway

Leap months expose how “one chart, one answer” claims collapse at calendar seams — which is why a predictor that shows its conversion is infinitely more trustworthy than a photocopied grid image with a mystique caption. We prefer integrity over mystery. 🌓
