Chinese Gender Chart in India: PCPNDT Rules and How to Use Tools Legally

Chinese Baby Predictor Team

India is likely the world’s biggest audience for playful gender guessing — and precisely where the stakes are most regulated. If you’re in India, here’s the honest context.

What the PCPNDT Act says

The Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (1994) prohibits prenatal sex determination — ultrasound clinics and labs in India are legally barred from revealing a fetus’s sex, a law born from historic sex-ratio imbalances. That ban applies to medical practice, and we support it completely.

What an entertainment predictor like ours is

  • A folklore tool: it computes one of two outcomes from lunar-calendar arithmetic, the same as a paper chart in any bookstore.
  • It cannot determine sex — it predicts a coin flip, explicitly labeled for entertainment.
  • It makes no medical claim and never replaces any test.

That’s why you’ll find entertainment-only disclaimers on every tool page here rather than tucked in a footer.

What Indian families actually do

The tradition is alive as a family game — grandparents and aunties trade chart predictions, the quiz circulates on WhatsApp, and everyone waits for the anatomy scan like everyone else. Perfectly legal, perfectly wholesome.

Our commitment

We support gender equality without exceptions. No tool on this site claims medical validity, no result influences care, and we encourage every family — in India and everywhere — to welcome boys and girls equally. 🩵🩷
